Some parts of the mud flats are safe to walk on, other parts are extremely dangerous. Both for the sinking of any heavy weight and the monsters. Note the waters around this evil castle drain into the swamp and some of the mudflats to the North.
This is what the castle actually looks like.
Years ago some evil knights and magic-users lived here, they were attacked and destroyed.
Now an evil Illusionist, who dabbles in alchemy, resides here. The flickering torches used to rebuild this castle were seen by the folks in Lone. They decided it was ghost fires from the battles.
But the Illusionist is not alone. There are evil clerics, fighters, and magic-users here as henchmen and hirelings. Along with a few ‘lab assistants’.
Tarsha Island has few inhabitants. Mostly half-elf rangers along with bears, fox, deer, rabbits, crows. Those are the most common, there are other species, few in numbers, of other animals as well.
Barshatal Island has a few small villages. All but one are under 50 people. The large town is 65 people. Same basic animals. a few half-elf and human rangers and human druids live here.
Dolsh Island is where most of the people live. Castles, towers, villages, even a few cities. Cattle, olives, apples, grain crops, a few non-farm animals.
The Kar-Shan People live here. Mostly farmers and merchants. Some men-at-arms, a few clerics and magic-users. They have repelled all invasion attempts. Slavers have failed as well.
Zog-Nor Island has a few rangers and druids, eagles, and other common animals.
‘The Death’ Island is the home of one active volcano and numerous hot springs. Land that seems safe to walk on, but is warm to the touch, could have a rocky crust that wont hold much weight. The boiling water below is a deadly trap. The Kar-Shan avoid this island and have named it.
1200 miles north to Dank Forest, 730 miles northwest to Land of the Giants.
Odd water and trees in the center of the larger island. A crater, but there is a large artesian water fountain that forms a lake and river.
Just west of Bellshar, the Southern Continent. Southwest of the Dukedom of Martyrs.
